About the role

House of Spells is seeking 2 vigilant and professional Security Guards to protect the magic at our Times Square flagship store. Reporting to the General Manager and Store Management, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our fans and employees. You will manage crowd flow during special events, monitor high-value merchandise, and respond calmly to safety concerns, all while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

Experience & Licensing: Previous security or loss prevention experience in a high-traffic retail environment is highly desired. A valid New York Security Guard license is strongly appreciated. Conflict Resolution: Exceptional de-escalation skills with a strict commitment to company policy—never using unnecessary force or engaging in confrontational behavior. Key Qualities: High alertness, unwavering integrity, strong attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset. Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with the GM, Assistant Managers, Shift Leads, and NYPD/emergency services when required.
